The yappers / One of five
The Hammer
Every sentence arrives like it is the last one.
The tell: The pause before the last word.
What it does well
- The room stops. That is not nothing.
- Emphasis makes structure audible. People can hear which part mattered.
- Pitch range plus a deliberate pause is what “commanding” actually is, once measured.
What it costs
- If every sentence is the point, none of them is.
- Weight is exhausting past about a minute.
- The pause that lands the first three times starts to feel like waiting.
How the app spots it
Pitch swinging wider than the band, at an unhurried pace. Weight costs time, and the clock notices.
- Voice movement
- Talking speed
A yapper is a label on a score, never part of it. The same round always names the same one, and a round that sits in the middle of every band names none.
