Delete your Fix Yo Yap account
You can permanently delete your Fix Yo Yap account and everything attached to it — your recordings, your rounds and your scores — either from inside the app or by asking us here. There are two routes; both end in the same deletion.
Option 1 — delete it in the app (immediate)
- Open Fix Yo Yap and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete account.
- Your account and data are removed immediately and you are signed out.
Option 2 — request deletion by email
Use this if you have already uninstalled Fix Yo Yap, or cannot sign in. Enter the email address on your account and we will delete it and confirm by email within 30 days.
What is deleted
All of this is removed permanently and cannot be recovered:
- Your account and sign-in — your email address and the Google or Apple identity linked to it.
- Your profile — display name, profile picture, plan status and time zone.
- Your voice recordings — every recording of yours still in our storage.
- Your rounds — every round you played: the topic, the transcript of what you said, your score and the counts behind it.
- Your progress — streaks, personal bests, stats and your leaderboard entry.
What is kept, and for how long
- Subscription and billing records — held by Google Play or Apple, never by us. We never see your card details, and their retention is governed by their policies.
- Crash reports — technical diagnostics sent to Sentry when the app crashes. They contain no recording, transcript, name or email, and are deleted on Sentry's schedule, within 90 days.
- Product analytics events — events like “a round started” sent to PostHog. They carry your account id and nothing else: no name, no email, no recording, no transcript. Once your account is deleted that id belongs to nobody. Email us if you want these removed as well and we will delete them.
- Emails you have sent us — support messages and deletion requests stay in our support inbox as the record that we handled them.
How long we keep your data while your account is open
- Recordings, free plan — deleted 7 days after the round.
- Recordings, Premium — kept while your subscription is active, then deleted 30 days after it ends.
- Scores, transcripts and streaks — kept for as long as your account exists, because they are what your history is made of.
Deleting your account removes all of them immediately, on either plan.
