Speech analysis, pointed at nonsense
Say something stupid.
We’ll tell you who you are.
Fix Yo Yap deals you a ridiculous topic and forty-five seconds. Then it counts every um and uh, times your pauses to the millisecond, tracks your pitch in semitones, and names which of the five yappers you just sounded like. For arguing that cereal is a soup.
Three rounds free · no coaching, ever
Defend pineapple on pizza. No hedging.
The analysis
Seven measurements.
No opinions.
Fix Yo Yap does not think you were engaging. It knows you said um three times, that your longest silence ran 1.4 seconds, and that your pitch moved 3.1 semitones. It will not tell you how to fix any of that. It just tells you what happened.
Those events roll up into seven quantities, at these weights. Every round, every user, the same numbers.
How many clauses you actually landed, versus how many you abandoned halfway.
Hesitation sounds — um, uh, er, mm, hmm and their longer spellings. Counted per minute, so a long take is not punished for being long.
Silences over a second and a half, mid-sentence. The ones that read as searching, not the ones that read as timing.
Words per minute, scored against a band. Too slow reads as unsure; too fast loses people.
How far your pitch travels, in semitones. Flat and sing-song are both just places on it.
How much you repeat yourself across a rolling window of fifty words.
Immediate repeats like "the the" or "I think I think", counted per minute.
Weights from scoring_params.yaml · engine 1.0.0 · every score is stamped with the exact version that produced it
Who you sounded like
Five ways of talking.
One of them is yours.
Every scored round ends with a name for how you talked and the numbers that chose it. Nothing reads your transcript and forms an opinion. The match runs on the same words per minute and semitones your own breakdown shows you, so the same round always names the same one.
And if you were not strongly anybody, it tells you nothing at all. A cast of five that always has an answer for you would be a horoscope with a mascot on it.
The Leaper
Three ideas in, and none of them is the one you started with.
The Trailer-Off
Starts the sentence. Loses interest in it around the third word.
The Restarter
Says it, hears it, does not like it, says it again.
The Fast Talker
Says everything. Twice as much as anyone else, in the same 45 seconds.
The Hammer
Every sentence arrives like it is the last one.
Nothing here is ranked, and no style can move a score.
The deck
Way too many topics.
Most of them ridiculous.
You don’t pick, and you don’t prepare. A card lands, the clock starts, and you find out what you sound like with nothing rehearsed. It is much harder to be coherent about pineapple than anyone expects, and harder still to explain what “6-7” means without stalling.

Point at a card to stop the deck.
Read all of themWhy it counts
The number is not a vibe.
Anything can print a seven-point-four. The useful question is whether it survives being checked: by you, by the friend you sent it to, and by you again next month with the same clip.
The same clip always scores the same
Every threshold lives in one file, and that file’s checksum is the version number stamped on your score. A quiet edit is impossible: change a threshold and the version moves, so old scores stay comparable to old scores and nothing is rewritten behind you.
No model decides your number
Speech-to-text is a vendor. Everything after that is arithmetic on counts: words, fillers, pauses, semitones. An AI never sees the score, which is why two people can compare theirs and the comparison means something.
A bad round is our problem, not yours
If transcription fails, the round is marked failed, it is refunded against your free rounds, and your streak is untouched. Streaks come from playing, never from scoring. An outage on our side must never cost you a round or a day.
Your voice is yours to keep or lose
On the free plan recordings are deleted 7 days after the round. Premium keeps them so you can play any round back. Either way the numbers survive on their own, and deleting your account takes the audio with it, the same day.
